The three main types
| Type | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Shared | Many sites share the same server and resources. | Small, low-traffic sites on a minimal budget. |
| Managed cloud | Reserved cloud resources, with someone handling updates, security and backups. | Business websites and landing pages that need to be fast. |
| VPS | A virtual server of your own, with dedicated memory and processing. | Online stores, systems, integrations and high-traffic sites. |
What every hosting plan needs
- HTTPS (SSL): the padlock in the browser. Without it, Google and browsers warn that the site is not secure.
- Automatic backups: daily or weekly copies, stored outside the same server.
- Speed: a server in Brazil, or close to your customers, makes the site faster.
- Responsive support: when the site goes down, you need someone who fixes it quickly.
- Account in your name: the hosting account should be in your company's name, like the domain.
What it costs
Shared hosting starts cheap but usually has limits and variable performance. At ON Network, Cloud hosting for websites and landing pages costs R$ 50 per month or R$ 300 per year, and a VPS for stores and software costs R$ 100 per month or R$ 600 per year, including HTTPS, server setup, backups and direct support. You can also use your own provider: we install the site there at no extra cost, subject to technical compatibility.
Signs it is time to switch
- Your site takes more than 3 or 4 seconds to load on mobile.
- It goes down at peak times or after an ad campaign.
- You do not know where the backups are, or have never tested restoring one.
- Support takes days to reply.

Frequently asked questions
Which hosting is best for a business website?
For business websites and landing pages, managed cloud hosting is usually the best balance of price, speed and security. For stores and systems, a VPS.
Does hosting affect Google rankings?
Indirectly, yes. A slow server makes the site slow, and speed is part of the page experience Google considers.
Do I have to host with whoever built my site?
No. At ON Network, hosting is optional: you can use the provider you prefer.
